The region South Pelion

Undoubtedly Argalasti is the centre of South-Pelion. From here it is not far to the mountainous and seaside villages of the South as for example Lafkos, Platanias, Promirio, Kati Giorgi. Or to the holiday resorts of Horton, Melina or Trikeri on the Gulf of Volos. And the road towards the splendid beaches of Paltsi, Potistica, Como, Murtiza, Melani starts from here.

Argalasti offers all you need for a vacation of some weeks or for a stay for ever. There are butchers, bakers, retail-stores of every kind, a gas-station, repair-shops, restaurants and taverns, even a cash dispenser. Further more Argalasti is the centre of the police, of the fire brigade, of schools (even a high school is at your disposition!) and last but not least, Argalasti has a small hospital, where you and your kids can be treated costless.

Saturday morning, there is the public market. Olives, tomatoes, clothes, all the things you are looking for on an oriental market. Afterwards you will relax in one of the taverns with a beer, a wine or a Greek coffee, surrounded by people from all over Europe, from England, France, Germany, Switzerland, really from all over Europe. And certainly you will get in contact with one of them, you are neighbours.

Afterwards you go back to your home at Xinovrisi, it takes ten minutes, indeed the distance is not more than six kilometres.
